Last evening, the Alvinston Indians, built a 7-1 lead, before edging the 
pesky Shedden Mission by the final score of 8-6, in St. Thomas and District 
Fastball League Playoff action.  Brad Young was the winning pitcher, going 
the distance and striking out five.  Scoring for the Indians were Young (2), 
Doug Charlton (2), Paul McCart, Marc Greenwood, Andy Triest, and Scott 
Smith.  Driving in the runs were Young (2), A. Triest, Smith, Charlton, Cody 
Campbell, Greenwood, and J. Triest.  Doug Charlton was 3/3 for the Indians, 
with a walk, two runs scored, and one RBI.

Next action for the Indians, is Thursday evening at 8:00pm in Shedden, for 
game #2, of the best 2 out of 3 opening round series.
