Bluewater Fastball League

at Chepstow

Port Elgin Blue Devils 5 Chepstow Aces 1

Darryl Banks got the win for Blue Devils who finished the regular 
season at 22 & 2.

Rob Fawcett pitched the final inning for Port Elgin.

Aaron Whitney homered and Mike Reilly had 2 hits for Port Elgin.

Port Elgin has requested the League delay the year end championship tournament.

If the current date of September 9th to the 11th stands, the Blue 
Devils may opt out as they can only field 8 players for that weekend 
due a variety of circumstances.

Two Blue Devils are playing hockey in Europe, another is injured, 
another is taking training to become a fire fighter and two more Blue 
Devils have committed to playing at the Eastern Canadian Championships.

The Blue Devils are hoping for the concession and to have the 
tournament at Chepstow delayed one week, but stress they understand 
if the league cannot accommodate their request.
