Tribe Climbs Back Into Series



After dropping 2 one run decisions in the opening 2 games of the SRFL 
finals the Wyevale Tribe climbed back into the series with a convincing 4-0 
victory over the visiting Minesing Monarchs.



Jason Giffen again toed the rubber for the Tribe and tossed a complete game 
1 hit shut out, that featured 11 K's, and some quality defense (which the 
Tribe had yet to display in the series).  Kurt Glover took the loss for 
Minesing as he was touched up for 4 runs on 7 hits.



The Tribe scored early as the first inning saw 2 singles move over by a SAC 
bunt, and then a SAC Fly by Trace Leonard plated the first run of the 
game.  In the third a leadoff double was cashed by a single by Kyle Lapham 
after a SAC bunt had moved the runner to third.  In the 6th the Tribe put 
it away when a Minesing error turned into a 2 run rally when Dave Drinkill 
doubled to score a run, then was plated himself by a SAC fly by Shane Bywater.



In the end a balanced attack and a great performance from the circle was 
just what the doctor had ordered for the Tribe, as the series now shifts 
back to Barrie for the pivotal Game #4 of this best of 7 series.
