Ottawa, ON

The Greater Ottawa Fastball League and Upper Ottawa Valley Men's 
Fastball League champions have been declared.  The two playoff 
champions will now meet in a best of three "regional final" - 
schedule to be determined.

Stittsville, Ontario - Kanata, ON Team Easton won the Greater Ottawa 
Fastball League

playoff championship on September 21, three games to one over the 
Stittsville, ON 56ers in the best of five series.   Team Easton won 
Game Four

on the strength of a 3 hit, 9 strike out complete game from hard 
throwing right hander Dan Konkle in a 2-1 victory.  This was Konkle's 
fifth victory of the playoffs.  Dan Bradley took the loss, throwing a 
5 hitter, with 7 strike outs and allowing only one earned 
run.  Brothers Randy and John Peck each had a run batted in for Team 
Easton.  Dave Tubman went 2 for 3 and scored both runs for the 
champs.  John Craig had the lone RBI for Stittsville and Sam Oliver 
had a triple for the 56ers.  Kudos to both clubs for an intense and 
closely played series, and congratulations to Team Easton on winning 
their third consecutive title.

Dan Konkle (Team Easton) 5 wins 1 loss.  Threw a one-hitter with 
18Ks, and a three-hitter with 9Ks.
Dan Bradley (Stittsville) 4 wins 3 losses. Had three shutouts, 
including 2 x two-hitters and a five-hitter.

Bryson, Quebec - Micksburg, ON Twins won their second consecutive 
Upper Ottawa Valley Men's Fastball League

playoff championship on September 27, with a 5-2 victory on the road 
over the Campbell's Bay, QC Royals to take the best of seven series 
four games to two.  Kerr Childerose had two runs batted in Game Six 
and Brent McIntyre contributed with a home run for the Twins.   Corey 
Costello had the pitching victory, his fifth of the playoffs, with a 
twelve strike out performance.  Veteran Royals lefty Len Burger had the loss.

16Ks, and three one-hitters - 18Ks, 16Ks and 15Ks.
Len Burger (Campbell's Bay) 5 wins 4 losses.  Started all Campbell's 
Bay playoff games and beat Micksburg twice.
Joran Graham (Micksburg) 2 wins 0 losses.  Bantam-aged pitcher won 
both semi-final games he started when Costello was at the ISC II ToC.
