For the first time ever, the champions of the Upper Ottawa Valley Men's 
Fastball League and the Greater Ottawa Fastball League will meet in a final 
playoff series.

Kanata, ON Team Easton won the Greater Ottawa Fastball League

playoff championship on September 21, three games to one over the 
Stittsville, ON 56ers in the best of five series.   Easton won the league 
for the third consecutive year.  Dan Konkle will get the ball for Team 
Easton.  His pitching record during the playoff was 5 wins 1 loss.  Konkle 
threw a one-hitter with 18Ks, and a three-hitter with 9Ks.  Team Easton is 
captained by Kevin Chevrier, who earned "All-World" Infielder honours at 
the 2005 Tournament of Champions.

Micksburg, ON Twins won their second consecutive Upper Ottawa Valley Men's 
Fastball League

playoff championship over the Campbell's Bay, QC Royals four games to two 
in the best of seven series.  ISC ToC "All World" DH Corey Costello will 
lead the Twins on the slab.  His playoff record is 5 wins 1 loss.  Costello 
threw a perfect game with 16Ks in the playoffs as well as three one-hitters 
with 18Ks, 16Ks and 15Ks respectively.

Game 1 of the series will be played Tuesday October 4 at 8PM at the 
Stittsville "Grove" diamond.

Game 2 of the series will be played Friday October 7 at 8PM in Micksburg.
If the teams split the games,  a sudden death "mini-game" will immediately 
follow game 2; i.e. first team to have a lead after a complete inning is 
the champ.
