The New NCCP Pilot- Introduction to Competition

This pilot will consist of two weekend sessions with our fine Master
Learning Facilitators Dave Bourne, Softball Ontario Coaching Chairman and
Todd Bannister. It will be held on November 25, 26, 27, 2005 and December
3, 4 2005. The location for this pilot is Banbury Heights School which is
located in Brantford, ON.

The Introduction to Competition context will be a blend of Level 1 and 2
Technical and Theory. The coaches must participate in both weekends and
have an On Field Evaluation completed (at a later date)in order to be
certified in Introduction to Competition. These weekends will involve the
training of coaches in a competency based approach.

We require a minimum 10 coaches for the pilot to be properly evaluated by
Softball Ontario. The coaches should be coaching in the 11-14 year old
group. It doesn't matter if the coaches have taken any previous NCCP
courses. For participating in this two weekend process and completing an On
Field Evaluation at a later date. The coach will be fully certified at
Level 1 and Level 2 in the old NCCP which is equivalent in to Introduction
Competition context in the new NCCP.
