DeKalb, Il.

The DeKalb Hustle Hogs will again field a competitive intermediate
team in 2006.  The team is going into their ninth season.  It
has always been the goal of the Hogs to introduce the game of
fastball to new players.  The Hogs will again do this in 2006.
 The following are some announcements including administrative
moves and scheduling.
 

First, Matt Smith will be taking over as manager of the team.
Smith takes over for Tommy Crouch who steps down from coaching
but will still act as the team's General Manager..

Second, Mike Drew will act as assistant manager.

Finally, Brian Tobin will act as web administrator.  The Hogs
web site is under construction.  An announcement will be made
on the address as soon as we add enough info to that site.  Brian
has always done a great job in organizing and hosting web sites.
 

The Hogs will play three weekends, as well as competing in the
very competitive Yorkville and Rockford weeknight leagues.  The
Hogs will aslo play a few exhibition games in early May against
Dolan and Murphy and the Creative DJ's of Aurora.

Here are the weekends:
June 16-18 (Radom, Il) Terry Deering Memorial Tournament hosted
by the Radom Faclons.  The Hogs were a playoff qualifier in the
2002 tournament.

July 22-23 (Thomson, Il.) Northern Illinois Fastball League "Big
Weekend"

September 1-3  (Brooklyn, Wi.) 12 team tournament.  This will
be the first time for the Hogs in Brooklyn.

There will be more announcement in the near future.
