Richmond B.C.

It saddens me to announce to the Fastpitch world the passing
of our good
friend Rich Hagan on Wednesday.
Rich was a good man, never saying a bad word about anybody, he
always saw
the good side of a person and rarely the bad .
Rich was the long time President of the Richmond Boys Assn.,
and Softball BC
District Coordinator for his area.
He most recently was the driving force of the 2002 Richmond Mariner
team
that won the Silver Medal at the Canadian Juniors in Vancouver.
After that
he dedicated himself to his son's Scott and Tyler fastpitch careers
coaching
the Richmond Mariners a midget team.
In 2005, Rich, unafraid of competition for his young guys, entered
the BC
Senior D Provincials coming out with a hard fought silver medal.
I believe
that Haggie thought of this as one of his coaching highlights.
It is so unfortunate that Rich will not be able to see the fruits
of his
hard work in developing his team for the 2007 Canadian Jrs. It
is more
unfortunate that we will not have Rich Hagan beside us again.
Rich is survived by his wife Leslie, sons Tyler and Scott, and
daughter
Darcy.
