Elkland, PA- 


The Elkland Fastpitch Team has signed on pitcher Scot Adams for
the 2006 men’s fastpitch tournament season. Adams played in one
tournament with the team during the 2005 season, and made it
a memorable one. In July of 2005, Adams joined the Elkland squad
for the Williamsport Tournament, and put on quite a display.
In his two appearances, Adams compiled a 2-0 record, with a stingy
1.50 ERA and struck out 26 batters in 14.0 innings. Included
in that tournament was an Elkland record set by Adams. Adams
struck out a team record 17 batters in 7.0 innings vs. Harmonia
Landscaping.

Adams had already agreed to join the TNT South Lebanon team for
the 2006 season, so he will not be available to the Elkland team
for the full season. But he will make at least half the schedule
for the season, including possibly joining the team for the NAFA
World Series in August.

Adams gives the team almost a lock on their pitching needs for
the season. The team is still in talks with two different pitchers
for select tournaments during the upcoming season, but for now
the team has three pitchers on its roster. Adams joins pitcher
Hugh Hillhouse and newcomer AJ Oosterkamp on the Elkland roster
for the upcoming season. Oosterkamp, just 19 years of age will
be brought in slowly to tournament softball, as this will be
just his 3rd season of pitching, While Hillhouse has been a workhorse
for the team for the last two seasons, compiling a 28-7 record
in that time.

The 2006 season will be Adams 16th season of fastpitch, and 12th
season of pitching. In his career, he has been a NAFA All-World
Selection (2002), as well as ASA Class C All-American (2005).

The Elkland Team, which finished last season with a 33-10 record,
will open the 2006 season on May 13th, at the 5th Annual May
Elkland Round Robin Tournament. For more information about the
