Softball Canada announces its Elite Team

 

(Ottawa, ON) – Softball Canada has named 18 athletes to its Elite
Team.  The Elite Team will participate in the Ontario Tour, a
mini series versus the Michigan Ice of the women's professional
fastpitch league and 2006 Canada Cup to be held July 1st to 9th.

 

The athletes who have been selected to the Elite Team and represent
Canada are:

“The strength of the Canadian Women’s National Softball Program
is directly affected by that of the Canadian Junior and Elite
programs" stated Lori Sippel, Head Coach of the Women's National
Team Programs.  "I am very pleased with the caliber of talent
selected to the 2006 Elite Team.  I have high expectations of
them as they compete and represent Canada at various events this
summer.”

 

The team will play together for the first time as Canada's Elite
Team in a mini tour in southern Ontario versus Team Canada in
a two game series on June 18th  in Milverton, On and June 19th
in Guelph, ON.  For more information on the senior women's Elite

Softball Canada annonce son équipe de l'élite

 

(Ottawa, ON) – Softball Canada a sélectionné 18 athlètes à l'équipe
de l'élite.  L'équipe de l'élite participera dans la mini série
d'Ontario, une séries de joutes d'exhibition contre le Michgan
Ice de la ligue professionnelle de balle rapide et la Coupe Canadienne
de Softball de 2006 le 1 au 9 juillet.

eux, des hautes expectations lors qu'elles font compétition et
représentent le Canada lors de leur calendrier cet été

 

L'équipe jouera ensemble pour la première fois en titre d'équipe
de l'élite canadienne lors de la mini série d'Ontario contre
l'équipe nationale dans une série de deux joutes le 18 juin à
