MEDIA RELEASE


The Vancouver Grey Sox Sr. Men's fastpitch team take a 14-0
record
into a 4 game Super Series this weekend v. Portland C/R.
The visitors are led by legendary Victoria pitcher Mike
Piechnik.
Vancouver is currently ranked 6th in the world by the
International
Softball Congress ("ISC") while Portland holds down the # 18
spot.

Grey Sox pitchers Nick Underhill and Rick Smith
are both 6-0 to start the season. Canadian National Team
catcher Darren Box of Edmonton has been added to the Grey Sox
Canadian roster and will make his debut this weekend.

Games on Saturday, June 3 are scheduled for 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.
and on Sunday, June 4 for 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. All games
at South Memorial Park on E. 41st Avenue between
Fraser and Knight streets.
