Aussies down Pastime in 4-0 win

 

Great base running and pitching help Aussie Spirit get overthe
line by 4-0 as they took on American Pastime in the 2006 Canada
Cup in Vancouver.

 

Australia’spitcher Kelly Hardie held theAmerican Pastime with
a massive 10 strikeouts and then was relieved in thesixth inning
by Catherine Bishop who continued the excellent pitching form.


 

Amanda Doman scoredafter an infield single from Kylie Cronk putting
arun on the board for Australia in thebottom of the second. 

 

In the fourth, Australia scoredthree more runs with Tracey Mosley
scoring a two-run home run, bring home Cronk, and Belinda Wright
scoring.



Australia has won sixfrom six and takes on China at 8.30am tomorrow
(Friday 7 July) in thelast of the round robin games.
