Aussies win earns them a spot in the Grand Final

The Aussie Spirit defeated the Netherlands 2-0 in today's Semi
Final earning them a place in the Grand Final of the 2006 Canada
Cup.

Australia scored a break through in the bottom of the fourth
when Kylie Cronk hit a sacrifice fly to centre to allow Kate
Quigley to score.

With Australia 1-0, Belinda Wright scored in the bottom of the
sixth to take a further 2-0 lead. 

Australia's co-captain and pitcher, Tanya Harding, was too strong
with four strike outs and allowing only three hits for the match.

Japan Elite and Canada are currently battling with the winner
taking on the Netherlands tomorrow. Australia will play the winner
of that match in the Grand Final at 11.30am (AEST) Monday 10
July.
