The Vancouver Grey Sox lost to Portland, Oregon CR by a score
of 2 - 1 in 
semi final action at the Bear Country Classic tournament in Prince
George, 
BC. Winning pitcher for Portland was Mike Piechnik, while Nick
Underhill 
took the loss for the Grey Sox. As a result of the victory Portland

advances to the championsjip final vs. the host Prince George
Black Bears, 
who defeated the Grande Prairie, Alberta Pride in the other semi
final 
matchup.

The Grey Sox overall record on the season nows stands at 28 wins
and 6 
losses. Next action for the team is next weekend (July 15 and
16), when 
they travel south to Oregon for a 4 game super series with Portland
CR. As 
always we will provide scores / information as it becomes available.

Next home action for the Grey Sox is the weekend of July 28,
29 and 30 when 
the 5th Annual Vancouver Challenge tournament takes place at
South Memorial 
Park in Vancouver. The event will have teams from Saskatoon,
SK - Prince 
George, BC - Squamish, BC - Richmond, BC - Portland, OR, Yucaipa,
CA and the 
host Grey Sox. The schedule of games etc. will be released to
the public 
very shortly.
