Giants put themselves in contention for a place in the top 6
to fid aplace in the semi finals of the men's intercity final
when they defeated,the previoulsy unbeaten side Porirua City
United 8-1 at porirua park onSaturdat.
 
In the bottom 6 of the intercity competition Hutt Valley Dodgers
hadtheir first win of the season with an upset win over rivals
Hutt ValleyMarist 4-3.
 
Newlands caused an upset in the bottom six when they defeated
previousunbeaten side Cardinals in the main game at Fraser Park.
 
Johnsonville men came from behind in the bottom half of the innings
todefeat Coventry Cars Royals 6-5.
 
In the women's intercity top six, Te Aroha continued their unbeaten
runwhen they shut out Saints 10-0.  While Miramar had a 7-6 ein
overWainui at the Polo grounds.  Johnsonville secured a large
15-5 winover Porirua City United.
 
In the secondary schools boys competition  Aotea and Tawa Collegesecured
their divsion 1 places with wins in their section to representtheir
colllege at the secondary school nationals in Hawkes Bay inMarch.
 
In the girls section Wellington East Grils college and Tawa Collegesecured
their division 1 spots at Redwood park yesterday.
