East Hants blanks Simcoe at Jr Men's

SUMEMRSIDE - Nova Scotia ace Cory Avery pitched a complete game
four hitter, striking out eight as East Hants blanked Simcoe
Wildcats (Ontario 3) 5-0 on field 2 here.
Avery (1-3, RBI), Laurie Isenor (1-2, two runs scored, two run
home run), Andy Chase (2-2, three runs scored) and John Gunn
(1-2, RBI).led the N.S. offensive output.
Jeff Bassindale (2-3, double) was the top batter for Simcoe.
Kevin Buckley suffered the loss going three innings, allowing
four runs on seven hits.
East Hants improves to 2-3 with the win while Simcoe drops to
2-3 (won-loss).
