SUMMERSIDE - Sean Cleary tossed a complete perfect game, striking
out 11 in the process as the Kelly’s Pub Canadians of Newfoundland
and Labrador remained in the driver’s seat at 6-0 with a 1-0
win over Simcoe Wildcats (Ont. 3) here at the 2007 Causeway Bay
Softball Canada Junior Men’s fast pitch championship.
Bradley Ezekiel (1-2) drove home Mark Lewis (1-3) in the bottom
of the fourth with an RBI single for the game’s only run. Jon
Kane, Gary Bruce and Ryan Boland each also had a hit a piece.
Luke Raymer suffered the loss striking out nine while surrendering
just five hits.
Simcoe fell to 2-4 with the loss.
