It is a bracket style double knockout tournament.

                                               THE SECOND SEASON
GETS UNDERWAY

                                                           Now
that the regular season is over in the Rick McDonald Memorial
Fastball league , the playoffs will get underway this evening
in Whitefish Lake First Nation.
                                                           In
quarter final series "A" [best of 2 out of 3] , the 9 PM game
will see the 6th place Magnatewan Native Sons face the 3rd place
Pickerel River Cardinals .A strong hitting team combined with
strong pitching should see the Cardinals take the Native Sons
in strait games.
                                                           In
quarter final series "B" [best of 2 out of 3] . the 7PM game
will see the 5th place Athletics take on the 4th place Whitefish
Lake First Nation Steelers .The Steelers finished the season
strong and their pitcher Al Guenette was the top during the regular
season .If the young guns continue their late season surge they
should defeat the inconsistent Athletics in strait games . In
past years upsets have come out of the quarter finals.
                                                            Meanwhile
the top two teams : second place Garson Hounds and first place
Commissioner's Cup winners wait on the sideline having earned
byes to the semis.
