Win a $500 S.A.F.E. Award for hosting a CSAP Workshop!

NORTH YORK, ONTARIO – Softball Associations across Ontario can
qualify for a $500 Softball Association Fundamental Excellence
(S.A.F.E.) Award for Volunteer Development by hosting a FREE
Certified Softball Administrator Program (CSAP) Workshop between
September 2010 and December 2010!

Up to five (5) S.A.F.E. Awards for Volunteer Development are
available to Softball Associations who host a CSAP Workshop before
December 31, 2010.  The S.A.F.E. Awards are designed to help
encourage Softball Associations to implement best practices and
encourage volunteer training at all levels of the sport.

CSAP Workshops are currently available for the following topics:

Marketing & Promoting Your Association 101 
Marketing & Promoting Your Association 101 has been developed
for association organizers responsible for generating sustained
interest and membership in their associations 
  
Marketing & Promoting Your Association 201 
A continuation of Marketing & Promoting Your Association 101,
this workshop helps you learn that a well-developed marketing
plan can help your association capture attention and draw participants
to your softball program. 
  
Generating Revenue: Sponsorship 
Learn to prepare sponsorship proposals, select prospective sources,
and develop an effective sales pitch.  
  
Generating Revenue: Fundraising 
Build your knowledge and skills in needs assessment, types of
fundraising, preparing a readiness strategy, developing a compelling
message, selecting fundraising sources, and pre-launch research.
 
  
Generating Revenue: Grants 
Expand your skills in assessing your needs, preparing a strategy,
writing a grant proposal, developing a sales pitch, tips for
Ontario Trillium Foundation applicants and a list of resources.

  
Legal Issues & Risk Management 
You will learn how to create effective policies to address Risk
Management and consider Legal Issues within their Association.

  
Association Management: Learning About Your Community 
Build your knowledge and skills in how to use information about
your community to support your organization goals. 
Participation in a CSAP Workshop will not only provide valuable
training to your Association’s volunteers, but it will also allow
you to network with volunteers from other Softball Associations,
and your volunteer’s certification will count towards your Association’s
rating in the new Softball Association Fundamental Excellence
(S.A.F.E.) Star Program.  

Interested Hosts will receive a FREE CSAP Workshop, which will
include:

A trained Learning Facilitator 
A CSAP Binder and Workbook for each Participant ($25 value) 
A special gift for each Participant 
Only five (5) S.A.F.E. Awards for Volunteer Development are available;
