SOFTBALL UMPIRE CLINIC SUBSIDY PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

NORTH YORK, ON- Softball Ontario is pleased to share information
about Ontario Federation of Secondary School Athletic Association’s
(OFSAA) Officiating Clinic Subsidy Program.  OFSAA is offering
a subsidy to high school students who complete a Softball Ontario
Junior Development Umpire Clinic, a Softball Ontario Intermediate
Umpire Clinic or a Softball Ontario/Softball Canada Level 1 Umpire
Clinic. For a listing of Softball Ontario Umpire clinics that

Subsidies will be offered at a maximum of $150.00 towards the
course fee and travel (travel will be subsidized at a rate of
$.33/km after 200km round trip). For example, if you traveled
300 km round trip to attend a clinic, you can claim 100 km (300km-
200km =100 km) for reimbursement. 100km x $.33= $33.00. 
How to Apply:

Students must completed the application form that is found under
the following link:

Have a teacher or administrator from the student's school to
endorse their application.


Completed Applications can be faxed  to (416-426-7317) or emailed
to michael at ofsaa.on.ca
Application Process:

If the application is approved, OFSAA will notify the student
directly by email and provide them with the reimbursement form
to submit following completion of the clinic.


Following the completion of the course, students must submit
the reimbursement form within 30 days of the clinic being completed
and provide a copy of the receipt and “certificate of competition”


Once all the completed documentation is received by the OFSAA
office, a cheque will be issued.
