GARSON HOUNDS TAKE OVER SOLE POSESSION OF SECOND PLACE

 

             Two games were played last evening in the Quentin
Seely Remax Fastball League . In the opener behind some fine
pitching by Gary Lamothe and Paul Lizotte , the Hounds came from
behind in a tight game to give the North Stars their second loss
of the season by a score of 6-5 . With two out in the bottom
of the 7th frame and after the previous batter  Terry Kutchke
had been intentionally walked , Dan  Bidal (hitting safely in
his last
8 games ) came up with a walk on double to bring in the two base
runners and a key victory for the Hounds . The Hounds take over
second place . as mentioned earlier Lamothe and Lizotte combined
for the win  5 runs (0ne unearned) on 4 hits , striking out 
4 and issuing 3 base on balls , Brad Matheson suffered the loss.
Teammates Dan Bidal and Terry Kutchke of the Hounds hit 2 for
4 .

                            In the nightcap just  starving for
a win after being trashed by the Hounds on Monday , the Seminoles
did some trashing of themselves with a 13-4 dumping of the Dog
House . Some excellent pitching by 
Percy Tobobundung led him to go the distance in giving up 4 runs
( one unearned) on 4 hits , fanning  7 batters and  issuing but
2 base on balls. Tobobondung helped his own cause by going 3
for (one home run) with teammates hitting  2 for 2 (two run homer)
and Clark Ashawasagai hitting  a 3 shot bomb to deep centre fields
. Al Guenette hit 2 for 2 in losing cause for the Dog House .

                    Play will resume on Monday  July the 9th
in Azilda when the  Dog House face the North Stars at 7 PM followed
by the Seminoles and Hounds in the nightcap at 9 PM . 

                                Teams are reminded of the up
coming 7th Annual Shamou Shoot Out up coming for this year from
