VIII Men's Pan American Championship - Game 4 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 
September 18, 2012 

 Canada Remains Undefeated with win over Colombia at Pan American Championship 

 (Medellin, Colombia) In a game that started at 10:30pm CDT and ended at 1:05am, Team Canada defeated the host Colombian team by a score of 15-2 in a full seven inning game. Canada scored two runs in the first inning, two in the third, four in the fourth and seven in the seventh en route to the big win. 

 Team Canada banged out 12 hits and two homeruns, highlighted by Brandon Horn (Waterloo, ON) who went four-for-five with four runs scored and Mathieu Roy (St-Gervais, QC) who was one-for-three with two walks and four runs scored. Stephen Mullaley (Freshwater, NL) was one-for-four with a homerun and four runs batted in, and Bryan Abrey (Richmond, BC) was two-for-four with a homerun, two runs scored and two runs batted in. Andy Skelton (Newmarket, ON) was also two-for-four with two runs scored. 

 Skelton started the game in the pitcher's circle and threw four innings, allowing one hit, four walks and struck out seven. Tyson Barkman (Abbotsford, BC) pitched the final three innings striking out four, walked a batter and also hit a batter. 

 After the long delays on Day 2, the tournament organizing committee has revised the schedule and now will allow two hours and thirty minutes between games. Canada (4-0) will now play at 11:30am CDT against Ecuador (0-4) and then at 4:30pm on the second field against Argentina (2-2). 

 Canada and Mexico lead the tournament standings with 4-0 records, while Venezuela sits in third at 3-1. The host from Colombia is fourth at 2-1, while Argentina is 2-2.
