The Union Storm scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to erase a 2 run deficit to take Game 1 of the best of 5 Final by a score of 5-4. Glencoe took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the 7th only to see Union’s Aaron Gould hit a game tying 2 run homerun, then Tex Lessard hit a single and Kevin Lynch smacked a double which scored the winning run. Dan Beecroft pitched the complete game for the Storm. Shaun Winship took the loss for the Astros. Shaun Winship, Ryan Wolfe and Kyle Mitchell all homered for Glencoe, while Chris Payne also homered for Union. Game 2 of the Finals will be played tonight in Glencoe at 7:30pm.
