OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America announced today nine athletes who will join the already released 21 athletes who have accepted an invitation to the 2011 USA Softball Women’s National Team Selection Camp at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., June 12-17. Names of additional participants will be released upon acceptance of athletes.
The approximately 17 athletes selected to the USA Softball roster will compete in six different events in three countries. Fans in the United States will get four opportunities to see the team in action with three exhibition stops scheduled as well as the World Cup of Softball VI, July 21-25, in Oklahoma City. The 2011 Women’s National Team will also seek the program’s eighth Pan American Championship title at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, Oct. 17-23.

Every single invitee is from a southern border state.
Amazing! I guess the players from the middle and
northern parts of the US must really suck. I am assuming
the address is where they are from, but perhaps for some
it could be a college address. I have seen some really really
good female players that arent on here. Who is the new
coach? -perhaps that is why every player is from the south
I take that back, I see one female is from Iowa.
I wondered if this was because it is a West Coast camp, in California, with others planned in other parts of the country?
Brittany Schutte is a close friend to my family my grandpa Papa Joe helped her transfer from baseball and softball and is her personal pitcher when she comes home from Florida,
