JARVIS — It wasn’t exactly a banner weekend for the Owen Sound Selects organization as its senior and Volkswagen junior squad went a combined 1-7 in International Softball Congress Travel League play.
“We’re not very happy with our weekend overall,” coach Lee Jacques said on Sunday.
“Our senior team was a little shorthanded and we really didn’t hit. We brought up a couple of midgets and some juniors from our other team and they performed quite well. It was the guys we count on who didn’t play very well this weekend.”
The Owen Sound Verge Selects seniors were 1-3 including a 3-2 eight-inning win over the Port Elgin BlueDevils on Saturday.
