The Duncan Outlaws of Elkhart again will represent the Michiana area in the Amateur Softball Association Men’s Major fast-pitch national championships this weekend at Belleville Park.
The 13-team, double-elimination event starts at 4 p.m. Thursday, with the championship round set for 9 a.m. Sunday.
This marks the sixth time in eight years the tourney has been held at Belleville.
The Anderson Lawmen are the only other Indiana entry, and the Midland Explorers are the lone Michigan team.
The Duncan Outlaws also are entered in the 46-team International Softball Congress World Tournament set for Aug. 13-20 at Moline, Ill.

The Duncan and Anderson squads are the only un-ranked teams in the ASA Major. The other eleven teams are all Top 20 ranked teams, with the Jarvis ON Travelers ranked #1 in the world.
The Duncan Outlaws drew the honors of playing the 2010 ISC World Tournament defending champion Jarvis Travelers of Ontario on opening night, 4pm on Sunday, August 14, 2011, a game that will be featured on live streaming video, FREE OF CHARGE.
