Ran across a folder with some old videos from the 2009 Monkton tournament, so thought I’d post. This one is Jeremy Manley pitching for the New Zealand Black Sox in July 2009, getting the final out in their 5-0 win over Jarvis. (the year before Jarvis would win their first ISC World Tournament title). Wil Fehrman at the plate. Patrick Shannon behind the plate. Serge LaFlemme on the plate (umpire), while the voice you hear in the background, is Kyle Smith, broadcasting the game for Ball Park Radio.
Click the 360p or 480p resolution setting (bottom of screen, lower right), and kick it up to 720p for high definition full screen enjoyment. Video by yours truly, but credit to the remarkable little FlipVideo camera for the crisp images. As you can see, home plate at Monkton is fairly close to the backstop, giving you an up-close-and vantage point, along with some sense as to how hard it is to catch up with that nasty riser.
Here is the same clip, posted to Vimeo. Can you see any difference in the quality? (comment below)

Paul Baier says
the batter is actually Will Fehrman, not Ian as mentioned above.

Thanks, Paul. Corrected above. An umpire with a sharp eye?
