After suffering a tough 1-0 loss to the Alvinston Indians, opening round loss, the Pueblo Bandits got back in the win column Monday, with an 11 inning, 3-0 win over the Quad City Sox of Iowa, behind the stellar pitching performance of Argentine Maxi Montero, who went the distance, tossing a 4 hitter while striking out 16. The losing pitcher, ISC Hall of Famer Paul Algar also went the distance, striking out 17.
The 0-0 tie was broken in the top of the 11th on an RBI single by Max Montero and two run triple by Segura.
The game ended when Algar, who doubled, and advanced to third, was tagged out trying to come home.

Pueblo’s next game (in loser’s bracket) is tonight at 7pm Eastern, 4pm on the west coast. 5pm in the Rocky Mountains against the Niagara Snappers of Ontario Canada.
The Snappers are 2-1, with a 6-0 opening round win over Appleton WI The Bar on the Avenue Buzz, followed by a 6-2 loss to the #4 ranked PA Power, then a 2-1 win over Aurora IL Dolan & Murphy
