ISC World Tournament Championship Game 7pm EDT Tonight
The Hill United Chiefs topped the winner’s bracket of the ISC World Tournament at Midland Michigan with a 4-0 shutout of PA Power, behind the two-hit, ten strikeout pitching performance of Australian ace Adam Folkard.
The Chiefs offense was generated by three home runs. Steve Mullaley provided the only run Folkard would need, leading off the second inning against starter Lucas Mata, who went only two innings, while Brad Ezekiel added a two run shot off reliever Karl Gollan in the fifth, and Nick Shailes a solo homer off Gollan in the sixth for the final 4-0 tally.
The home run trio had two hits each, with Ezekiel adding a triple and Shailes a double.
Thomas Enoka and Karl Gollan had the only hits for PA Power, Enoka’s a double to lead off the game and Gollan a single to start the fifth. Enoka would be the only baserunner for PA Power to reach second base as Folkard throttled the Pennsylvania offense, while walking none.
The Chiefs will await the survivor of the elimination bracket, amongst the three remaining teams, PA Power, the New York Gremlins and Jarvis Travelers.
The final three games of the ISC World Tournament are on tap today at 12pm, 2pm and 7pm, eastern time.
First up will be semi-final losers Jarvis Travelers and the New York Gremlins, at 12pm, EDT, with the winner facing PA Power at 2pm for the right to face Hill United in the title game at 7pm.
