Game schedule released for the 2012 ISF IX Junior Men’s World Championship
OKLAHOMA CITY — The International Softball Federation (ISF), softball’s world governing body, announced the game schedule for the 14-nation ISF IX Junior Men’s World Championship taking place this November 1-10 in Parana, Argentina. The ten-day competition features 52 match-ups between the world’s best. The USA Softball Junior Men’s National Team will compete in a six-game pool play set in hopes of qualifying for the playoff portion of the World Championship Tournament.
Team USA will open play against Denmark November 2 at 3 p.m. CST (see below for complete USA game schedule) and will continue pool play through November 7. Playoffs begin at 10:30 a.m. CST on July 20 and end with the Gold Medal game at 3 p.m. on November 10.

Representing the Red, White and Blue in Argentina are Addison Beutler (West Valley, Utah), Junior Centeno (Salem, Utah), Jake Dalton (Lake Crystal, Minn.), Dylan Elmer (Machesney Park, Ill.), Tyler Johnson (Union, Mo.), Zach Lach (Frankenuth, Mich.), Michael Lewis (Amboy, Minn.), Jonathan Lynch (Cape Girardeau, Mo.), Brent Meshke (Lake Crystal, Minn.), Mauro Olivarria (San Diego, Calif.), Jake Rutt Ephrata, Pa.), Jerlin Rutt (Bernville, Pa.), Nicolas Serrato (Corona, Pa.), Austin Tuttle (Payson, Utah), Dakota Wells (San Luis Obispo, Calif.), Justin Wurtz (New Haven, Mo.), Spencer Yackel (Lake Crystal, Minn.). This 2012 team will look to build on an eighth place USA finish in the most recent ISF Junior Men’s World Championship in 2008.

The 14 teams that will compete are: Argentina, Australia, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, United States and Venezuela.
