Four players will make their softball world championship debuts when New Zealand attempt to wrest back the title on home soil in March.
Nik Hayes, Penese Iosefo, Tyson Byrne and Jerome Haretuku are part of a 17-man Black Sox squad named on Sunday for the tournament in Auckland.
Coach Eddie Kohlhase has also included plenty of experience with the likes of Jarrad Martin and Thomas Makea, who will attend their fifth world tournament.
Two others, Donny Hale and Brad Rona, will make their fourth appearance.
The Black Sox are seeking to regain the title they lost to Australia in 2009.
