Editor’s pick for Game(s) of the Day:
Easy choices today, battle of the unbeatens in both pools, fitting, the last games of the day:
Pool A – Venezuela (3-0) v. Samoa (3-0) – These two teams are both bidding to join Australia in the playoff/medal round. The winner today will make its path easier, and improve its seeding.
Pool B – New Zealand v. Canada – Silver and Bronze last time around, in 2009, no surprise to see these two teams sitting atop the heap of Pool B after three days. Canada is clicking on all cylinders, as are the host Black Sox. Should be a full house on hand for this one, that most fans in Auckland will plan their day around. I can’t wait.
