After stumbling out of the gate and losing their first three games (to Australia, Samoa and South Africa), Team USA found their land legs, and reeled off four straight wins, including a must win victory yesterday against a Venezuelan team that had lost only one game, and another today, against Great Britain, with a playoff spot on the line.
Great Britain took a 1-0 lead on a bases loaded hit-by-pitch in the third inning.
Team USA scored four runs in the bottom of the 5th inning, on two walk and error producing two runs, and a 2 RBI single by Chase Turner, son of USA head coach Pete Turner.
Gerald Muizelaar pitched a two hit gem.
