Playoff Game 6- Canada v. Argentina
(Winner advances, loser eliminated)
This game is set to go at 2:00pm New Zealand time.
Canada coming off a loss late last night, losing 3-1 to Venezuela. The loss was only their second of the tournament, the other coming to Japan on Day 5 of pool play, the day after they beat New Zealand, 9-7 in an extra inning slugfest. Canada had difficulty figuring out Venezuelan lefty Erick Urbaneja, notching only two hits on the night.
Argentina is coming off a big win over USA in their first playoff game, a 9-2 run rule victory, with their biggest offensive output of the tournament. During pool play, the Argentines relied on their strong pitching of Lucas Mata and Juan Potolicchio. Against the USA, Argentina overcame a 2-1 deficit in an 8 run 4th inning.
