The Dukes beat the Bloomington (Ill.) Stix 12-4 as Chris DeLarwelle hit a three-run home run and a solo shot. German Sacks hit a two-run homer, Lewis Weldon hit a solo shot and Joel Goodall was the winning pitcher.
Circle Tap topped the Topeka (Kan.) Toros 4-1 as Rob Schweyer threw a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and Sacks had three hits and three RBIs.
The Dukes edged Pete’s Blues of Mascoutah, Ill., 4-3. Sacks broke a 3-3 tie in the sixth when he hit a one out double, advanced to third on an error and scored on a sac fly. Rob Schweyer was the winning pitcher.
