Friday night, it was Folkard in the circle for the Hill United Chiefs (Six Nations), as they took on the number one ranked team in the world, the New York Gremlins in the winners bracket final of the 2013 ISC World Tournament.
Twenty one batters later, the game was in the books, a 15 strikeout perfect game, a 3-0 victory that puts the Hill United Chiefs into the Championship Game at 7 PM Central Time tonight.
The Chief’s Steve Mullaley hit a towering two-run homer in the first inning which proved to be all the offense that Folkard would need. Hill added a final run when Nick Shailes scampered home and wild pitch in the sixth inning.
The Chiefs will now await the remaining elimitation contests scheduled at 12 PM, and 2PM central time to see who they play in the championship game.
