The # 3 Kitchener Hallman Twins knocked off the # 2 New York Gremlins 10-2 in 5 innings, their sixth consecutive win in a row since losing in an upset to the Bloomington Stix of Illinois earlier in the week.
The New York Gremlins were knocked into the loser’s bracket by the California A’s on Wednesday, and struggled to overcome an injury/illness riddled pitching staff. Australian Andrew Kirkpatrick suffered pneumonia and saw limited duty in the tournament. Veteran Hall of Famer Dean Holoien left Wednesday night’s game and had to be replaced on the roster by Sean Whitten, who himself was nursing a groin injury himself.
