Editor’s notes: Paul Castillo has been a coach and supporter of men’s fastball for decades, and nurtured young talent in the game. His grandson, Dominick was among the youngsters at Midland Michigan this past summer, vying for a spot on the USA Jr. Men’s team that will play in the WBSC Jr. Men’s World Championship in Midland Michigan. Dominick can pitch, but is an excellent middle infielder. Paul has a batting cage in his backyard in Long Beach, CA where many fastballers work out, dubbed by the Editor as the “Castillo Fastpitch Academy”.
