Those Guys, from Long Beach California, captured their fourth straight Raymond Angulo Memorial tournament title at Corona California on Sunday, going unbeaten through the tournament.
After winning two games Saturday, Those Guys defeated the Coyotes, 3-2 in the winners bracket final, with catcher Larry Watts Jr. getting the game-winning, walk off single up the middle in the home half of the tiebreaker. Lamar Goss picked up the win, his second of the tournament.
The Coyotes then dispatched the Bandits in the losers bracket final, for a rematch against Those Guys, in the championship game. Those Guys won the rematch more handily, 7-1, with Jesse Martinez picking up the win, his second of the tournament. With Those Guys leading 4-1 in the fourth inning, the Coyotes had their best look at the game, loading the bases with two outs, but were unable to score. Those Guys added three more runs in the home half of the fourth inning, powered by triples from centerfielder Yusef Davis and Kevin Castillo. It was the second year in a row that Those Guys and the Coyotes squared off in the championship game, in last year’s contest , Those Guys dropped the first championship game, but won the “if” game for the championship.T

Beaumont Coyotes defeated the Colton Dirt bags to advance to the finals in the loser bracket finals, the coyotes did not defeat the Bandits to get to the finals.
It was a great Tournament with a great cause.
