Click here to view highlights from the USA v. Canada game, the second game for each of these medal-contesting squads. USA squeaked out a 1-0 win behind the complete game pitching of Monica Abbott. The highlights are from the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) broadcast of the game, featuring longtime fastpitch softball broadcaster Lance Winn doing the PxP. Lance has been a member of the Ballpark Broadcasting crew for over 10 years, calling games all over the world, including the US, Canada, New Zealand, China, Europe, and now via remote from Japan. Editor’s Notes
Editor’s note: For those of us in the States that want to follow Lance Winn and the coverage of the Canadian Women’s Softball team, if the links above or those on the highlight clips don’t work for you (i.e. give you a message that the coverage is “not available in your area”), you might google “VPN”. With the internet’s lack of security these days, you probably ought to be using one all the time anyway. This is as good an excuse as you’ll ever have to sign up for one. Don’t miss tonight’s big match-up of two of the top teams in the Olympics, Canada vs. USA, 8pm EDT, 5pm PDT in California. Tomsguide for best VPN’s
Editor’s note #2: If you speak with Lance this week, be sure to ask him about that new USA T-shirt he’ll be trying on. No, he hasn’t switched sides, to be sure. Just a friendly wager, is all….
