The New York Gremlins bounced back from an opening night loss to Bear Creek Express to win three games on Saturday, and earn a coveted spot in Sunday’s Final Four.

Game 1 – Friday Night – Bear Creek Express 3, NY Gremlins 1
Both teams were strong on the rubber on Saturday, but Bear Creek Express was just a little bit stronger at the plate in a victory over NY Gremlins on Saturday. Andrew Kirkpatrick started the game for NY Gremlins and recorded 12 outs.
NY Gremlins lost despite out-hitting Bear Creek Express seven to six.
NY Gremlins opened up scoring in the second inning, when Ben Enoka hit a solo homer.
Bear Creek Express pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Ryan Boland hit a solo homer and Colin Walsh doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Riley Manion was the winning pitcher for Bear Creek Express. The pitcher lasted four and a third innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one. Justin Schofield threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Kirkpatrick took the loss for NY Gremlins. The lefthander lasted four innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two and walking zero.
NY Gremlins smacked one home run on the day. Enoka went for the long ball in the second inning.
NY Gremlins had seven hits in the game. Jerome Raemaki and Enoka each collected multiple hits for NY Gremlins. Enoka and Raemaki each managed two hits to lead NY Gremlins. NY Gremlins was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Nick Mullins made the most plays with eight.
Tyler Pauli went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Bear Creek Express in hits. Bear Creek Express didn’t commit a single error in the field. Boland had 13 chances in the field, the most on the team.

NY Gremlins put up four runs in the sixth on its way to a 7-1 victory over Niagara Snappers on Saturday. NY Gremlins big bats were led by Gonzalo Masmu, Ben Enoka, and Wayne Laulu, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Niagara Snappers got things moving in the second inning, when Brian Belisle hit a solo homer.
NY Gremlins notched four runs in the sixth inning. NY Gremlins batters contributing to the big inning included Masmu, Enoka, and Laulu, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Pablo Migliavacca took the win for NY Gremlins. The bulldog surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking zero.
Todd Bobinski took the loss for Niagara Snappers. The pitcher went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out two.
NY Gremlins totaled eight hits. Masmu and Bryan Abrey all collected multiple hits for NY Gremlins. Masmu led NY Gremlins with three hits in three at bats. NY Gremlins was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Blake Hunter made the most plays with 13.
NiagaraSnappers_vs_NYGremlins_Jun_24_2023Game 3 – New York Gremlins 6, Oshweken Redmen 1
NY Gremlins took home a 6-1 victory over Oshweken Redmen on Saturday.
Andrew Kirkpatrick took the win for NY Gremlins. The lefty went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out ten and walking one.
Travis Nevin took the loss for Oshweken Redmen. The bulldog lasted three innings, allowing three hits and five runs while striking out three.
NY Gremlins hit two home runs on the day. Bryan Abrey had a homer in the fourth inning. Cole Evans had a dinger in the third inning.
Abrey, Evans, Ben Enoka, and Wayne Laulu each managed one hit to lead NY Gremlins.
Oshweken Redmen was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Wade Kewagishig made the most plays with six.

NY Gremlins beat Niagara Stompers . 10-5 on Sunday.
In the first inning, NY Gremlins got their offense started. Mathieu Roy hit a solo homer.
Jack Besgrove earned the win for NY Gremlins. The hurler surrendered five runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out 13 and walking one.
Martin Gonzalez took the loss for Niagara Stompers .. Gonzalez surrendered four runs on six hits over two innings, striking out three and walking zero.
NY Gremlins hit one home run on the day. Roy went deep in the first inning.
NY Gremlins totaled 15 hits in the game. Jerome Raemaki, Erick Ochoa, Roy, Nick Mullins, and Ben Enoka all had multiple hits for NY Gremlins. Ochoa and Raemaki each managed three hits to lead NY Gremlins.
Niagara Stompers . didn’t commit a single error in the field. Juan Cruz Zara had the most chances in the field with nine.
