Riley Manion was dominant on the mound, striking out 11 in Bear Creek’s 4-3 victory over the Host Sooke Loggers on Thursday. Manion surrendered seven hits and three runs over seven innings, while walking one.
A single by Kyle Cowick put the Loggers on the board in the top of the fourth.
Quintin Bruce homered to center field, to tie the game in the bottom of the fourth.
A three run sixth was the difference maker for the Express, with singles by Dallas Kipfer and Nic Moore. Moore had two RBI in the contest, while Dean Layland and Kyle Cowick each collected two hits for the Loggers.
