NY Gremlins not fielding a team in 2011
Tuesday, April 12, 2011
It is with great regret I have to announce the NY Gremlins will not be fielding a team this season. Unfortunately some personal family issues with our sponsor have forced us to cease operation. Any teams looking for players can contact me and I will forward your inquiry.Gregg Leather

Editor’s note.
I miss these guys already. Fierce competitors, they always seemed to be in the thick of close, dramatic games, including most notably, the 2010 ISC World Tournament. Playing eventual champions, the Jarvis Travelers in a winner’s semi-final, and facing Adam Folkard, down 1-0 into the bottom of the 6th, they rallied for three on homers by DeGroat and Walford to win. On the last day of the tournament, they find themselves playing Jarvis again, in the tournament semi-final after a blow-out loss to Kitchener in the winner’s bracket final. Tied 2-2 after regulation, they battled into the 10th inning. Jarvis scores three in the top of the 10th, a lead that would look insurmountable to many teams. The Gremlins kept slugging away, scored two of their own, on a Jeremy Tracy homer, and put the tying run aboard (Rhys Casley) before falling 5-4. We’ll miss ’em to be sure.
