KEATING’S ISC II RESULTS

August 15 – 19, 2004

Keating’s Fitness Center from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania traveled
to Fargo, ND to compete in the ISC II Tournament of Champions. 35 teams
from the USA and Canada competed in the tournament. Keating’s finished the
tournament with a 3-3 record, good enough for 11th place.

Keating's opening game in the Tournament didn't turn out as it
was planned. Keating's took it on the chin from a very good Gladstone Whips
team 10-3. The Fitnessmen were ahead 3-1 after 2 innings but their wheels
came off as Gladstone scored 9 runs in the next 3 innings to gain the victory.

The 12th ranked team from Manitoba, Canada, used a 13 hit
attack to defeat Keating's. Gladstone was led offensively by Rodney Spek ,
All Tournament Team Selection, with a 3 for 3 effort. He had 2 home runs, a
double, and 3 RBI's. Trevor Oltsher was 2 for 3 with a triple, a single,
and an RBI. Randy Desserre was the winning pitcher scattering 5 hits,
striking out 4 and walking 3 in 5 innings of work.

For Keating's Frank Keating Jr., Dave Martin, Steve Ray,
Justin Stock, and Dave Stokes all singled.

Keating's bounced back from a very disappointing game earlier
in the day to defeat the Walcott Coliseum from Iowa 8-0. The Fitnessmen
jumped out early with 4 in the 1st and then added 4 more in the 7th for the
win.

Veteran right hander Art Devoe (6-1) threw the 2 hit shutout
while striking out 8 and walking 2. Shortstop Dave Martin led Keating's 14
hit attack by going 3 for 4 at the plate. He had a double and 2 singles.
Frank Keating Jr. was also 3 for 4 with 3 singles, an RBI, and a stolen
base. Dave Stokes was 2 for 4 including a triple, a double, and 4 RBI's.
Chad Sensenig had a 2 for 4 effort with a double, a single, and 2
RBI's. Justin Stock was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a stolen base.

Clark took the loss on the mound.

ABS-Villard from St. Paul Minnesota scored 3 runs in the 1st
inning enrout to their 5-1 victory over Keating's Fitness Center. Keating's
out hit ABS-Villard 9-8 but stranded 8 runners and could only push across 1
run. Jim Skurat was the winning pitcher. Lucas Goring, All Tournament Team
Selection, was 2 for 4 at the plate including a home run, triple, 3 RBI's,
and a stolen base. Will Cooley had a single.

Keating's Fitness Center advanced to the single elimination
playoff round portion of the tournament with a thrilling 7-4 come from
behind victory over the Alvinston Indians. The game was played in very
windy conditions with the wind gusting up to 35 m.p.h. Trailing 4-1 after 3
innings, Keating's picked up 2 runs in the top of the 6th inning when Chad
Sensenig hit a 2 run double to right field. Then in the 7th with 2 out,
Frank Keating Jr. singled in the tying run. He then wound up scoring the go
ahead run on a wild pitch. Sensenig then capped off the winning rally with
a 2 run single.

Frank Keating Jr. was 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 singles and
2 RBI's. Chad Sensenig, Mark Smith, and Justin Stock all had a double and
single. Dave Martin contributed a triple to the offense. After allowing 3
runs in the 1st 3 inning, winning pitcher Dave Stokes shut the door on the
Indians allowing only 2 singles the rest of the way. Stokes finished the
game with 10 strike outs and 1 base on balls.

Leftfielder Jeff Huston led Alvinston, the 2002 ISC II World
Champs, with a 3 for 3 effort. He had 3 singles and an RBI. Brad Young
blasted a 3 run homer in the 3rd inning.

Keating's Fitness Center and Earl's Club from Wisconsin
battled neck and neck on a 45 degree night in Fargo, North Dakota. At the
end of 7 innings only 1 run was on the board. Keating's pushed across that
run, without a ball being hit, in the top of the 6th inning to capture a
hard fought 1-0 victory.

Justin Stock led off the inning by drawing a walk. He stole
2nd base and advanced to 3rd when the throw went into centerfield. He
scored the only run of the game on a wild pitch.

Right hand pitcher Dave Stokes (17-5) kept the Earl's Club
hitters in check as he struck out 17 and walked none while allowing 4 hits.

Offensively for Keating's centerfielder Scott Emerich was 2
for 2 with 2 singles, a walk, and 2 stolen bases. Frank Keating Jr. and
Chad Sensenig both had a single.

with a double and a single. Steve Gothard took the tough loss on the mound
pitching 7 innings, giving up 4 hits, striking out 9 and walking 3.

save, pitching the last 2 innings. D.P. Jamie Boyd led the offense for the
