Milligan earns 'Player of the Week' honours

ALBERTON - Jason Milligan of the Alberton Arms Pub Athletics is the Source 
for Sports/Alberton Sports 'Player of the Week' for the period Sept 13-19.

Milligan went 5-for-7 in his teams two games last week - a 16-5 win and 
14-10 loss to the Summerside Moosehead Greco Twins at VIV Field last 
Wednesday. He hit .714 in the two games.

The 26-year-old had four singles, a double, a walk, two runs scored and 
drove in one Athletic run.

The big week helped the utility outfielder raise his season totals 
two-fold. He was hitting .259 heading into the week.

On the season, Milligan is now hitting .353 with six runs scored, 12 hits, 
a walk and four RBI in 34 plate appearances heading into the final week of 
regular season play.

Others considered this week were Summerside Twins' Dale MacDougall (5-7, 
four runs scored, stolen base and RBI), Ian Power (3-7, three-run home run, 
run scored, six RBI) and Todd Richard (2-4, double, run scored, three RBI) 
and Athletic utility infielder John Sentner (2-4, double, four RBI).
