Billly Kulpa a sophomore at Rock Valley College and a member of our club 
team was just awarded the Ray Aumann scholarship for his studies at Rock 
Valley College from Rockford Metropolitan Sports.  The scholarship is 500 
dollars, which will go along way to paying tuition and fees at RVC.

Ray Aumann is a long time Fastpitch supporter and promoter of youth 
Fastpitch in the Rockford area.    Rockford Metropolitan Sports is a grass 
roots organization whose mission is: Dedicated to improving amateur 
athletics, instill the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork through 
education.  RMS is the primary grass roots organization promoting Fastpitch

I want to congratulate Billy for all his hard work and dedication to the 
team and the game.    He was not the best player on the team, as he had 
only a small amount of baseball playing experience in his past.   But, he 
worked the hardest of all the players we had and was also awarded the most 
improved player at the end of the summer season.   Billy was very pivotal 
in recruiting players, contacting players about practices/games, and 
organizing the club team through RVC.   The awarding of this scholarship to 
Billy was an outstanding choice to a young man that showed great love, 
leadership, and passion for the great game of Fastpitch softball.

This is an exciting announcement, as there are very few places in the 
United States that young men are able to obtain college scholarship dollars 
by participating in the sport of Fastpitch softball.   In the future, we 
hope to make more announcements like this as we continue to raise dollars 
to provide scholarships to young men who show a commitment to the game we 
all love and enjoy.
