SUBJECT:  SOFTBALL ONTARIO APPOINTS NEW FAST PITCH PROVINCIAL UMPIRE-IN-CHIEF


Softball Ontario is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Greg Pipher 
of Pickering as the new Fast Pitch Provincial Umpire-in-Chief.  Greg 
replaces Brian Sharples, who has left the position of FP PUIC to become a 
member of the Officials' Development Committee for Softball Canada.



Greg, a Level V umpire and former Zone 7 Umpire-in-Chief, has been involved 
in the sport for over 18 years and brings a great deal of knowledge and 
experience to the Umpires' Program.



Please join us in welcoming Greg.  We wish him all the best in his new 
position.
