ISC Names Tom Vogel and Rob Olson as ISC-II Player Representatives

The International Softball Congress is pleased to announce the appointment
of Tom Vogel, of Perkasie, PA, and Rob "Arch" Olson, of Portage La Prairie,
MB, as the first ever ISC II Player Representatives.

"We are fortunate to have two individuals like Tom and Rob who bring a
wealth of experience and will be able to provide us with their perspective
as both players and as team managers," said ISC II Vice President Bob
McGowan.

Tom Vogel, of the Perkasie, PA Armour-Rise team, has been playing
competitive fastball for more than 28 years, making more than 20 national
appearances at ISC, NAFA and ASA tournaments. With experience as a former
ASA player rep, Tom will apply his insight as both a general manager and a
pitcher in his new position.

Tom's Armour-Rise team has competed at the past two ISC II Tournament of
Champions, finishing 12th in 2004 in Fargo, ND and 16th in 2003 in
Appleton, WI.

A two-time All-American and NAFA All-World pitcher, Tom and his partner
Jenny have two children, Amanda and Dylan. Tom also has two children from a
previous marriage, Stephanie and Erica, and two grandchildren, Skyler and Tyler.

Also bringing a player/general manager perspective to the position is Rob
"Arch" Olson. In addition to playing on the infield, Rob runs the
Gladstone, MB Whips team which finished tied for third in their inaugural
appearance at the ISC II Tournament of Champions in Fargo.

Gladstone has made several appearances at the Western Canadian
Championships, winning in 1999 and taking silver and bronze medals in 2000
and 2001. The Whips also competed at the Canadian Senior Men's Championship
in 2002 and 2003.

Rob and his wife Malinda were just married this fall.

The ISC II player rep positions, approved by the ISC Board of Directors at
the 2004 meeting in Fargo, were created to be the voice of ISC II players
in the organization.

"They will be asked to attend the ISC II Committee meeting and will also
have a seat on the Player Rep Committee," noted ISC II Commissioner Blair
Setford. "We think both of these gentlemen will be a tremendous asset to
the ISC II program."

The fourth annual ISC II Tournament of Champions will take place August
14-19 at Casper Park in Chippewa Falls, WI. The tournament will feature 40
teams from across North America playing a four-game round robin schedule in
eight pools of five teams each. The top three teams from each pool advance
to a single elimination playoff bracket.

The ISC is a non-profit corporation organized for the promotion and
administration of men's and boy's fastpitch softball throughout North
America. Athletes participating in ISC tournaments come from literally all
over the world.
