MEMORABILIA FOR KATIE’S CRUSADE
For fastball memorabilia collectors, Scott 
Kennedy’s Sports Shop in the headquarters tent 
has a limited number of Printed Programs from the 
1985 (Waterloo) and 1996 (Kitchener) Canadian 
Championships. The copies are $1 each, with all 
sales donated to Katie’s Crusade, for Katie 
Horne, daughter of Cents’ GM/Coach Bill and spouse Donna Horne.

With the Waterloo Twins in the 2002 Canadians in 
Saskatoon, having to play five consecutive games, 
and winning four to advance to the Championship 
final. With a short bench and some key injured 
team-mates playing through pain, it was quite a 
“team” achievement, showing commitment, hard work and perseverance.

MEMORABLE BALL GAMES

In the 1991 ISC semi-finals, catching for Brad 
Underwood for Owen Sound Canadian Tiremen in a 
22-inning 1-0 win against Guanella Brothers. Undy 
had just thrown a perfect game the night before 
against Aurora Colonial Bakers, and then after 
the 22-inning game, he pitched 9 innings in the 
Championship Final in a loss to PennCorp+of Sioux 
City, Iowa. This team was the first Canadian team to reach the ISC finals.
