This exciting pilot school will be held in Grafton, Ontario from the
evening of Wed., May 24th to Sun., May 28th. All mechanics taught will be
the recently approved Softball Canada mechanics which were adopted from the
ISF. This is a Softball Ontario project with Softball Canada’s O.D.C.
participation. It will be instructed by Softball Ontario Umpire Program
leaders with assistance from Softball Canada O.D.C. members and is open to
all registered L3, 4 & 5 umpires in Canada.

This pilot school will begin on Wednesday, May 24th evening with 1 ½ hours
of in class lecture. Thursday’s instruction will be a combination of in
class with a majority of on field drills and instruction. Friday
instruction will be mostly field drill and practice until noon. Lunch will
be provided on both days. Friday afternoon is an open time to prepare for
the practical game situations which begin on Friday evening and continue
all day Saturday and Sunday morning. The Grafton Spring Thing ladies
tournament will be used to work 3 & 4 umpire system games. You will have
an opportunity to umpire each of the base positions and work at least one
plate. Participants will receive a written Evaluation and verbal feed back
on their games. This clinic can be counted for your “once every 2 years”
clinic requirement.

Cost of the school is $75.00. Participants are responsible for their own
accommodations, arranged by Steve Bedard, at a good rate and may be
shared. Game fees will be paid at $10.00 per umpired game (4 or 5 games)
to help off set costs.
